Life can be quite challenging, and it's important to know that you're not alone. I've had my own share of challenges and severe hardships, and at times I even felt I had no control over my life. I draw on these experiences along with my clinical training as I approach each person seeking guidance. This would also be true as an artist. I know what it's like to feel stuck or blocked, which only exacerbates any anxiety or sense of helplessness we may be experiencing already. Whether you are dealing with relationship issues, traumatic experiences, or grief over any sort of loss, I have a good sense of where you're coming from because I've been there, too.
Deciding to talk to someone for the first time about our deepest feelings or any evolving creative endeavors can be pretty daunting at first. It's a tough undertaking, exploring any unresolved issues, ongoing feelings of frustration, disappointment, or helplessness in the midst of such overwhelming concerns and doubts. But, ultimately, the rewards involve getting your life back, feeling happy again, and looking at the world with a new or renewed sense of purpose and confidence.
The process of developing a therapeutic relationship itself, getting to know each other, sharing any reactions or unique insights on core issues, and becoming familiar with each of our particular way of being, can be tremendously rewarding as well. My own personal goal is to provide a more open and responsive atmosphere, rooted on three major principles: empathy, compassion, and a genuine sense of appreciation.
